IRL “GAME LANGUAGE”



2022, I was asked to create works for the inaugural show of IRL Gallery.  My process consisted of creating tiles of illustrations {segments} , which then were translated into 3d “stages” {words}. The installation consisted of 5 overlapping rugs , 3 reflective aluminum prints and a looping projection.

I was gaming a lot at the time
In general
And also I saw games being played.
In languages.
So game and language became a natural topic. 
Two things that are components of components - 
Game and language .
In translation is space and possibility -
Non exact, always flow possibility. 
The gridded guidelines of games as dimensional contests
Are of exact game languages
parameters translate 
into excitement, knowledge seeking,
compassion, understanding, synapses
In the games.
